The brutal murder of 6-year-old, beauty pageant contestant, JonBenet Ramsey sent shock waves felt around the world. For almost 24 years, her murder remains a complete mystery. Her case has become one of America’s most notorious, unsolved murder mysteries.
Over the years, suspects have emerged including former school teacher John Mark Karr, her mom Patsy Ramsey, her dad John Ramsey, her older brother Burke Ramsey, the town drifter Gary Oliva, an electrician, the housekeeper, and the town Santa Clause. However, nobody has been charged with the murder.
Theories about her death include her brother, Burke, striking her in the head after stealing some of is pineapple snack. Her mother killing her after a bedwetting incident. And an intruder, who saw JonBenet compete in a kid beauty pageant entered into the Boulder, Colorado home and killed her.
An unknown DNA profile was discovered on her underwear. The DNA doesn’t match John or Burke Ramsey. Many believe the DNA profile belongs to the killer.
John and Patsy Ramsey were officially cleared as possible suspects in the murder in 2008. Burke as also been cleared as a suspect.
