On December 26, 1996, 6-year-old child beauty pageant competitor, JonBenet Ramsey was found murdered inside her Boulder, Colorado home. Before her body was discovered in the basement, her mom, Patsy Ramsey found a nearly 3-page ransom letter on a back staircase in the home.

JonBenet had been strangled with a garrote made from nylon rope and a broken wooden paint brush and suffered a severe skull fracture. From the beginning, her death gained national headline news.

The Boulder police quickly zeroed in on John and Patsy Ramsey as possible suspects in their own daughter’s murder.

However, decades would go by and to this day, there hasn’t been a person held responsible for JonBenet’s murder.

The murder of JonBenet Ramsey has become one of America’s most notorious and talked about unsolved murders in history.
