In 2014, a prominent couple from New Jersey was found brutally killed inside their home. They each suffered multiple stab wounds, and the house had been almost burned down to the ground. But after the police wrapped up the investigation, they believed the couple died in a murder-suicide plot. However, those close to the Sheridans disagree they would have done something like this. What does the forensic evidence say happen?

J and J Sheridan: I think one of the four sons could have hired a hitman giving instructions on how to make it look like a murder/suicide. Each son probably had enough money to hire a hitman, but may have had financial difficulties. One-fourth of Daddy’s estate could take care of him for life. Maybe the kid with the cocaine in the car. Also a son may have been very angry at his father or mother. I believe you said hitmen killed another person around that time.
I rule murder suicide out because why would John kill his wife so brutally? He could have given her too many of her pain pills and himself too if he wanted a murder suicide. I believe affairs had been ruled out, and no one said they were having marital problems.
The police and medical work are unbelievably awful. Too bad Cyril Wecht was dead.
